Absolutely! As a two-person team you truly learn the importance of communication and relationship skills. Every volleyball skill becomes amplified, as you need to pass, set, defend, attack and truly understand the cerebral aspects to be successful. From a physical standpoint, training in the sand pushes you to your limits and will increase your speed, leg strength, and jumping ability all without the stress of pounding a hard floor. Most importantly you will receive a countless number of ‘touches’ compared to an indoor athlete as a defender, attacker and setter. In the Sand you are part of EVERY play, no subs, no hiding behind teammates, you are responsible for every rally! Over time this equals more confidence, better ball control, court awareness and especially, just plain old…FUN!!
